In addition to earthly wealth, people also pray for other things, like babies. It's actually a pretty cool ceremony; the people making the request buy mini versions of whatever they're requesting (a model house, a tiny bundle of money, a toy car, etc...) and the person leading the prayer puts the stuff in a pile and burns it. At the end, he sprays champaign liberally around, spilling it on the earth for Pachamama, and also on the people making the request. And it's supposed to all come true within a year.
